Spaceship Earth calls itself “small-batch coffee, curated beer & wine, and weekly events in the heart of McAlester.” It has been open since 2016, in a restored storefront on Choctaw Avenue with a roll-up door onto the sidewalk.

It is an espresso bar in the morning and a taproom in the evening, and the week has a shape to it: story time, chess, mahjong, trivia and a Saturday running club all run most weeks. Live music lands on top of that.
