The Grillmarks Festival Series

An outdoor grilling competition series in downtown McAlester, running since 2017. Ribeyes in the spring, ribs in the fall, with teams travelling in from across Oklahoma and the states around it.

The Grillmarks Festival Series is an outdoor grilling competition held in downtown McAlester. It was created in 2017 by McAlester Makers, the non-profit behind a good number of the town’s events, and has grown into a destination food event for the region: competitors and visitors come from across Oklahoma and from the surrounding states.

There are two each year. In the spring, teams compete on ribeyes. In the fall the smokers come out for Ribtoberfest and it is ribs all day.
